- Is it in houses? I had routing in one of my me made houses because I built it and put in a pond right up near the house and my sims didn’t want to go anywhere near the kitchen until I leveled the land out under the house..
- If you play with mods I suggest NRaas Overwatch. Overwatch will detect stuck sims and warn you with a notification. By default, Overwatch will automatically reset the sim, but you can change that in it's settings. Once you disable OW from automatically resetting stuck sims you can right click (left click?) on the sim icon in future OW stuck sim notifications and the camera should zoom to the stuck sim. This will allow you to see the problem and determine whether you can fix it.
If the mod zooms you to an inactive's house you can use NRaas MasterController to open the house to see what's going on (click on the walls of the house>NRaas>MasterController>Open). Be sure to use MC to 'close' the house once you are done, otherwise the game will continue to animate the sims on that lot which will affect game performance. - musicman43657 years agoSeasoned NewcomerI know a couple of times my sim tried to go to the ocean and it was getting stuck sim messages from that. I've even seen sims stuck on the sidewalks/roads too.

- Using google that world was created in 2010 and may not be updated to work on newer patches ?
- musicman43657 years agoSeasoned NewcomerIt could be possible. It's been very hard finding a world that will meet my requirements. I like Union Cove, but it's really slow and sometimes I have sound glitches with that world.

Doesn't matter when the world was created as the games coding would automatically use the existing spawners, effects etc... to add things like fish, seeds, insects, minor pets, weather etc... from the later EP's.
Not to mention not one single patch has ever touched a .world file which would mean that Sunset Valley would be even more outdated that is if patches actually mattered to .world files.
The world would've had to of had problems already or the download was bad.- I found blank worlds and worlds with blank lots tend to be the best as you have to build and might build to accomodate pets where Ea never though of that in Sunset Valley and I created a fixed version called gibons which is empty and EA's populated worlds tnd to have routing issues as well as those can crop up if you populated the town too quickly and larger worlds get routing issues with the school regardless of how many students are enrolled in the school simply from automated assignment because many of them might live in all corners of the map and the school is too far from where they live for them to be able to make the trip in less than an hour.I use Awesomemod with a config file overriding the automated assignment to school to fix that routing issue. It will also stop the overcrowding before it even happens.

- karritz7 years agoLegendI've got a few houses in my studio but they are mostly big and full of store content. The most compact would be my lifestyle lodge. It has a room for a large family and most of the skilling objects. It's on a small lot.
