The house seemed empty after the two weddings and then Darlene, David, Keira and Sawyer moving out. Perhaps it was this sudden emptiness that led to Dante and Heather agreeing when Grace kept asking if she could get a dog. They suggested the shelter but Grace didn't want just any dog. She had loved the book 101 Dalmatians, the one the Disney movies were poorly based on, and so she wanted a Dalmatian. After researching breeders she found one she wanted. When the young male Dalmatian arrived she couldn't resist naming him Pongo after the father dog in 101 Dalmatians.

The time for the prom came around and Cedric asked Grace if she would go with him. She said yes and teased him when he looked relieved asking him if he had really doubted that she would go with him. When the night arrived it turned out to be a full moon and as Grace was walking to the limo there was a strange disturbance next to the house.

He had been trying to convince Heather to retire but she resisted because she had wanted to reach the top of her career. But she was seriously shaken when her partner died one day as they were leaving their shift.

She was so embarrassed that she pulled away from him and said that perhaps they shouldn't try slow dancing anymore. Cedric didn't object, his toes were pretty sore by now, but he gave her some flowers to show her there were no hard feelings.

Then when she was blushing over the flowers he moved closer and told her he loved her for the first time. She grinned at him and told him that she loved him too. They shared a sweet, loving kiss before they had to head home.
