Boring sims games

I put spice on my game by not having my sim live a perfect life. Its so much more enjoyable and exciting to see what my sims will do after a sad moment rather than always being happy.

I enjoy building skills and moving up the career latter too. I also love big families and generational play, but tend to pepper in some drama. Occult/supernatural sims end up in my house pretty frequently, though. If you just prefer to play regular sims do you.

The big majority of my saves end up being generational. Family play it's my favourite kind of play after all :)
But once in a while I do like having a little bit of mischievousness in my saves, like having a inventor sim blowing up stuff around the neighborhood or having a witch ruining couples, turning the townies into supernaturals or... accidentally killing them with fire blasts...
That only happened once! I promise :D

At the end of the day I think only the one playing the game can decide if what they're doing it's boring or not, in my case, family play it's not boring at all and even feels kind of rewarding :)

I play a neighborhood filled with sims that know each other. As a result I make some deplorable sims that are there to create chaos and make things worse for many other sims for the lulz. I also tend to make some sims with hilariously horrible lives. I do make many with the more vanilla family lives but this way if I want to change up how I'm playing I just save the one family and play as a different household for a while (I also turn off the aging for everyone around and mainly only age the sims when I am playing them or if I make a birthday cake for them).

I find that interesting things just sort of happen. For example with my Faerie sim (see avatar pic) she went into the Law Enforcement career due to having a wish to do so at game start. I have free will set to High, and generally only step in to ensure things like eating, using the bathroom, or going to bed on time occur. Well, my sim started to date her boss on her own, and I was thinking "huh, that's kind of neat". Well, while they were dating Chester (the boss in the law enforcement career for that game) quit, switching to a different career. Which at the time I didn't know was possible. And when they eventually married, I discovered that Chester had quit being a police officer to become a criminal, and was currently rank 4 in the criminal career path.

It's now a door, that comes as part of Grim's mansion. Of course it might not work. Either being Clumsy or having a Death Flower are suppose to be sure fire ways to prevent the sim from getting reaped early though. Of course death flowers are Special plants so require high gardening to grow. And might be hard to acquire the seeds for if ya don't have a Swiftgro on your lot.

If you don´t get bored, who cares? Everyone can play their game in a way that makes them happy.

My sims tend to have kids (because one of the things I love most is the moment of "how do they turn out?").
I created two sims to be adventureous to really explore WA. They have now four children and live in Sunset Valley. I think, they were in China, once. I got bored of the quests and the skilling and the tombs kind of scared me. So they ended up being domestic, and that seems to be the way that I play.

I love supernaturals, most of my families have them. Still trying to get more hybrids, only have one alien/vampire yet. A fully skilled witch can raise the dead and make them alive again.
The game often gives me surprises and ways to go, like inapropriate elderly Teagan MacAnna kissing one of my sims at a party in my legacy save, and him going completly bananas for her. So a youth potion had to be made, ingrediences had to be found, to make Teagan young again to have children. She dislikes children. It was fun.

High free will and trying to fulfill the wishes of my sims often have interesting results. Nraas storyprogression makes my towns alive.

My sims are happy most of the time. Making them happy makes me happy. Wow, yes, that also sounds boring. :D

My legacies would be very boring if I didn't get creative and find other ways to have drama like using the weather challenges to create the drama instead of falling back on the soap opera from EA's bugfest.

I play almost all the time with my simself and even though sometimes it's boring, I look at other sims or I play an other sims game.

When I don't feel like CAS or playing with the ones I've already made, I'll do makeovers. I'll go into the sims that come with the game (like The Goths for example) and re-do their house, wardrobe, looks, and see if they are currently in the job of their dreams; if not, I'll make them quit and start doing the job that is showing in their lifetime wish. I'll motherlode a few times too, so I can upgrade their furniture and other objects.

Just get them on track basically. :)

I created a fairy the other day that was a major PEST, to stir up some trouble. LOL
