Bring back netherworld ghost

I recently had a ghost Sim (death by jelly bean) die while I wasn't playing him. I'd planned on restoring him, but ran out of time. I'd switched over to another family for a bit. When I got back, he was gone. No grave, nothing. At least, I'm assuming he died. He's not in anyone's friend's panel, nothing in NRASS. He's not at the mausoleum and I was unable to recover him with the philosopher's stone.

Now, his name is there in the Scrapbook as one of the longest relationships my living Sim had. So technically, he's still in the system. Is there ANY way to bring him back with a mod or a cheat or anything?? I did save him to the bin, but it would be interesting to bring him back into the game somehow.
  • It is not possible to switch households and ensure that the sims you were playing will still be in your game when you return to them without leveraging mods (NRaas StoryProgression or Awesome) to protect them from being culled/removed from the game entirely.

In this case though, the sim had died. That's a bit unusual I think, for an already dead sim to be culled from an ongoing world but I'm not quite sure anything can be done if they aren't showing on any of NRaas MasterController's rosters for Resets or Invite Overs.

An entry in a sim's scrapbook or even the family tree or relationship panel could be a small amount of historical data and does not mean the sim is still in this game in any retrievable way.

Bummer. I was hoping there was some sneaky cheat to get him back.

  • Well, there's always the method of reverting play to an earlier save before the sim died or before they disappeared and replaying things a different way from there, if one has some usable backup saves available to try this.
