- No, you game will get rid of it.
same with deer. itll just disappear off the panel. - And raccoons can be owned as pets in real life in some places.
I think if you take good care of it and are aware of the dangers, then go for it.
Same with skunks. they say that once it gets its spray bags removed, that its just like a cat. - KHS1215 years agoSeasoned AceFor the 2 that just went off on LadyElfie for wanting a raccoon in her game, you need to calm yourself. Shes entitled to her own opinion and so are you, but you shouldnt jump on her for wanting one. Do we marry ghosts or reproduce with grim reapers? No. But thats the point of sims. To let you do what you couldnt normally do. Its all in good FUN, so stop being so hateful towards her for wanting things that the sims allows you to do(except for adopt a dang raccon :/ )

Why is this thread back? I thought this died? Boo!
Also, I just love how people with less than ten posts act like they own the place.
And why are you back?

I don't understand why Simchick and Liltab are making a stink over how its noot right to capture wild animals as a basis for why we can not have raccoons as pets.
Especially when all the birds, turtles, lizards, and rodents, are technically wild animals. As are the "WILD" horses ad unicorn.
^^ This, and in case someone has overlooked or forgotten, it's just a game.
I would never take in a wild animal in RL as I do realize they belong in the wild.
Just like I would never make a real person fix an electrical item while standing in a puddle just so I can see a ghost. :DEvezan wrote:

Technically every animal is a 'wild' animal because they are animals and act on instinct.
My dog could bite me if it wanted to. what would that make it? No different than wild animal.
All animals are animals no matter how long they lived with you. They still with act on instinct.
If you own an animal and treat it right I think you should be allowed to. Wether its a raccoon or a tiger. As long as you know what you're doing and are aware of the possible outcomes and take care of it good, i don't care what you own.- If a dog was sent into the wild to live while being a puppy (with its mother), it would behave just like a wolf.
All animals can be wild because they act on instinct.
It would grow up to be just another wild animal.
And while I do agree that a chihuahua wouldn't live long due to size, it would still act on instinct if it needed to. - ^I didnt know you had to save it.
Ill try that :D - its a ******* question for a virtual game. ****, you're gonna judge someone for trying to make their own game interesting?
- There a way to get a deer and raccoon in the game. unless you want mods of course. :P but here a link to a video and maybe you an figure out how to get a deer or raccoon. If not then save the skin by doing so, hold ctrl plus shift plus C to open the cheat box and type in testingcheatsenabled true, then hit enter. When you see a raccon or deer hold shift and click on the reccoon or deer and if you get the option to create in CAS then do so. When in CAS with the animal go to the portrait of the animal below and click it and save it. then you can exit out and then get a cat and then go into CAS with the cat and put the skin on it to look like a raccoon, and if you want just put some traits you think a raccoon would have or traits you would like.
ok link to the video to get deer can also help get a raccoon and the mod is called the selector by NRAAS i believe. :)

hope this helped?
And there is nothing wrong with having a tiger, bear, or any other wild animal in real life. IF! you are just taking care of the animal if ts sick, injured, or abandoned when a baby of course. :P
