Can't open CAW worlds in Edit in-game: new thread for kostamaja

Since you're not using CC/Mods/Store, generate a new The Sims 3 folder by renaming the folder (rename The Sims 3 folder in Documents\Electronic Arts to Holding ).
Opening the Launcher will cause the game to generate a clean TS3 folder. Close the Launcher,Now try to run EIG.
I also use a batch file to run the world in EIG instead of opening CAW first. It takes some strain off your computer.
