Thank you very much for your reply. Currently using a new CAW world I created but the crashes also occur on Starlight Shores and Moonlight Falls. Since I last posted, I took a look at my current save which was 3.6gig. A little large I must say. I trimmed that right back (after googling what I can remove) to 71mb and the game runs smoother and saves in just over a minute as opposed to 20minutes.
Task manager informs me the game takes up about 2.5-2.7 gig of ram (after alt tabbing) though I guess the crashes may occur if the ram usage spikes, maybe unrouteable sims/pets/animals. The crashes don't concern me too much at the moment due to the speedy saves but would much prefer no CTD's. My most recent CTD was five minutes into the game but my previous playthrough was flawless clocking in at about 2hrs. It's hit and miss. Out of interest, can memory errors also be caused by unrouteable sims with the game exceeding it's memory limits trying to address the issue? As previously mentioned I do use numerous NRASS mods to help with various issues.
I will try Sunset Valley or Riverview and see how things pan out. My lot count on my new CAW world is about 170. Not wanting to exceed that. Again, I greatly appreciate your help.
