Do you find it hard to get reconnected after you haven't played in a while?

I don't, I always feel connected to my sims - well my main ones anyway. Not only are they sims, but they are also characters in other games, so quite a few of them are carted around with me from game to game, and I'm always with them, so to speak.
However, coming back to Sims saves after a long break - most of the time, I just trash the save and start again. I like doing that.
