Expansion Packs Not Launcing

Hi,
So I have purchased all of the sims 3 expansion packs and stuff packs and it shows that they are installed on origin, but the sims 3 launcher shows that i only have late night and high end stuff. I've trying reinstalling origin, reinstalling sims 3, deleting origin cache files, restarting my PC, and nothing works.
Any help would be great, I couldn't reach EA customer support.
Thank you!
  • It is possible that you have an account block in place. May I ask where you have purchased these packs from? If it wasn't from Origin itself or an authorized re-seller, they may not be legitimate and EA has this habit of deactivating previously stolen TS3 games and packs when this is eventually detected. Or there could be a block on your account by mistake, but only EA Customer Support no matter how difficult they may be to reach during the current situation could confirm or do anything to fix that.
  • I'm afraid that suggests that these codes/games were not really legitimate, meaning that EA never received payment for them from any party, and EA has probably placed blocks on your account as indicated. This is known as a chargeback scam, meaning the original purchaser (quite likely not the one with whom you transacted business) obtained the codes in bulk then issued a chargeback to get refunds for all of them but went on to re-sell what they had.

Some players have gone a couple of years (or longer) before the account blocks have happened to them on games and packs purchased this way.
  • Depending on how long ago these purchases were made, you might seek refunds for them through the eBay vendor?

EA doesn't totally disallow purchases of game products from unauthorized re-sellers as it recognizes that some of them will be legit, but warns there is always the possibility of bad things like this happening. In order to remove any blocks from your Origin account, customer service will have to assist so that then you may purchase proper codes/licenses to run the games and packs that you wish.

Thank you, i bought the base game and the packs off of ebay. They worked initially but not anymore, now only the base game works.
