Okay, I've given up! I've tried every single option out there that I've read! I updated all of my mods. I thought maybe installing Overwatch and Errortrap would help but they didn't. It still freezes! The past two times I've played, it's frozen at the exact same time, 7:43pm Sim Time. And considering the game is saved at around 5:00pm Sim Time, this doesn't leave me very much play time. I have done ResetSim * before too and it resolved it the first time, by this I mean it didn't freeze at the exact same time. But now, I'm having problems again. I read that it usually happens because a sim in the town or an NPC got stuck but how do I know when that will happen? There's no way of salvaging my game when it goes into this state, not even ctrl-shift-c. I've also read to save frequently to avoid losing progress but if it's going to happen 2 minutes after I start the game, then what's the point? I'm so frustrated with not finding any solutions. Ps, it's currently running and I can hear the crickets and I can hear dogs barking. Task manager says the game itself is running smoothly. I'm completely at a loss.

It freezes but sounds still work, trees keep moving, water keeps moving, like if you're at a pond/beach (I'm at Isla Paradiso), but the sims freeze and you can't click anything.

I've read that there's a lot of this type of problem occurring with Isla Paridoso. The only problem is, I'm in Sunset Valley!! So I have no idea what's going on! But your problem sounds like it may be apart of the many who have problems with that EP/World.

I should've specified in my post in this thread that it didn't occur at any particular time to my knowledge, although it was dark out, but it was happening in just that save game. I began thinking maybe it was the world of Isla Paradiso that was at the root of the problem so I started a whole new game in Bridgeport and it was completely fine so I do just think it's that world that's just really glitchy (my sim literally "swam" through sand/pavement/grass/hills until getting in a cab to go home after swimming at the beach) as Biebersbabe said above and someone else said in on The Sims FB page. Same here! My game crashes BUT animations continue. (Just like the green plumbob above my Sim's/pet's head, the trees and the plants, the water etc.) I have Overwatch and ErrorTrap and, as a result (while having BOTH of these mods on my mods folder) my game crashes on normal or fast speed which means that I waited for MINUTES for my game to unfreeze. So I use the Task Manager to end the process (I play in Windowed mode) and then I just don't even know what to do! Any help would be appreciated, thank you!

It definitely seems to be that! I haven't played in Sunset Valley in awhile so I can't really help you there unfortunately :(
But maybe try starting a whole new game and see if that helps? Maybe it's the actual save game? What's your computer specs?

Its possible your computer cant handle pets.Its the most demanding ep in the game and does require a decent gaming computer to play it.

@pagounis just pull the sims 3 folder to desktop (dont rename it) Update your video card and then put the sims 3 file back in documents. Your not resetting the game your just protecting your sims 3 file and game settings from the video card update.

hey @BiebersBabe3194 if you confirmed your nraas mods are up to date for your patch then try this remove everything but for overwatch and see what happens at the crashing hour.

and if you do crash again please post computer specs, to post hit windows key + R enter dxdiag run report hit save all info and notepad doc will open copy/paste the whole long report here, thanks!

BrittanyChick22, as I already stated in my original post, I have the overwatch mod.

ceejay402, I tried that and nothing. Would you be able to tell me where to find my computer specs? Although, I don't think that's the problem since I haven't had this sort of problem at all until recently. My computer is fairly new, purchased in November of 2014.
