I don't think there's anything you can do about it now, but force quit.
I'm not very "technical" person, but that reminds me about something that happened to me.
I'd come back from a couple of weeks trip, and my computer had wanted to update pretty much everything. I had just clicked ok, to update my graphics card drivers, when Windows informed me it wanted to restart for updates. I let it, and forgot all about the graphics card.
Later my game started doing that. I posted on the technical forum, and someone said it might be graphics card related. This time I successfully updated the card, and while that one particular game was lost (corrupted), that has never happened to me in any of my games since, and it's been almost a year now.
So, I'm afraid now you just have to accept your game is lost, but it might be worth checking if everything's fine with your graphics card and it's drivers.
