Bright and early on Monday morning, Marcie showed up for her first class.
Lectures were interesting, she thought, and while others found them less so, only the very brave (or truly exhausted) slept in them: the professor was a vampire!
Cars were not permitted on campus, so Marcie biked everywhere she went. There was much hanging out at the comic store; the technology-studying crowd that hung out there were not bothered by her unusual form.
Back at the new ranch, Wren and Elayna were training each other. Wren entered the pale mare in a Beginners Race and won! Everett texted Marcie a picture of the wild horse herd and unicorn he'd spotted downtown. Katie was taking Adam down to the dog park to swim, and she texted a picture of that as well. All to help Marcie study her Social Media, of course!
Later in the week Marcie reported to the library to practice giving her own lecture on the project she'd been assigned. With the whole class presenting at once, the library became unusable for anyone hoping to study! But the professor was pleased, setting the day on an upward trend. After that Marcie attended at party at a nearby frat house, and met a very attractive young man who wasn't at all put off by her robotness.
The next day brought more classes, with chess matches during the breaks. The week ended with Marcie passing all of her first set of classes with flying colors and gaining an admirer, if not yet an actual boyfriend.
