Grey Screen?

Hi there! Island living is for the sims 4, this thread is for sims 3, so technical support would be different for each game.

If your screen is turning grey might be your video card. I know when my vsync got reset my fps went over 200 and a lot of things were getting greyed out in the game. My card was overheating. Is your computer overheating? If your stuck and can't do anything hit the windows key, click on the the bottom tool bar, open task manager and end task to turn the game off. You should always save your game frequently especially for when problems like this happen. We have all been there, forgot to save, game messes up and loose everything you worked on.

Sorry it sounds like your game crashed you can try hitting some F keys to see if that helps but it's best in the future to exit the game when not playing instead of putting it to sleep, good luck

Yes, The Sims 3 will keep your computer awake, even if you have other stuff open. I've fallen asleep before while in CAS and thought, "Oh no! My poor screen." Never close the screen while in game -- it doesn't like it. I forgot and did it once. Things were very weird in that save after that. Exit the game and come back to it, if you need to.

I quit my game and hibernate my computer if I have to leave for more than a few minutes.

I play my sims throughout the day, when I need to take breaks. Each time I leave it to get back to work, I save and minimize it, then put my computer to sleep. I've been doing this ever since I started playing, and while I have had the computer bluescreen when I tried to wake it up, two or three times in the past year, I seldom have any trouble with it.

I bought the Island Living pack and once I got it, there was a grey blank page over all the clothes. It was only on sims4 clothes not CC, CC showed up. I was wondering how I could fix this.
