- I am such a micro-manager. I have to be in control of everything. Once in a while, I let them go free because they have no needs that have to be dealt with and no goals to attain. It does feel kind of nice, but I always end up stepping in when I see they "chose the wrong thing to do" lol.
- I'm not only controlling my active family though I do control their actions most of the time and my game is very heavily Modded so I can even have indirect control over inactive families in my town with story progression filters from the caste settings in the NRaas Mod version.I play my towns in a TS2 style of rotational play where I play the entire town.
- As someone who strongly prefers creating her own Sims over playing with premades, part of the fun in playing my game comes from watching my Sims act out their own personalities. If my athletic Sim heads for the treadmill, I let him. If my socially-awkward Sim would rather talk to his family members than a stranger in the park, so be it. Generally, I only step in if my Sims’ needs are getting low, if they roll wishes that I think I can fulfil, or if they have something else that needs urgent attention (like being late for work).
- cocokaylaNew ScoutMaybe not every single action, but at least 95% of them. If I left my sims to their own devices I don't think they would do much. I have my own dreams for them so it works out well for everyone.
- Let them do their own thing jump in occasionally.

Glad I’m not the only one who’s super controlling! The pause button is my friend too so I make sure everyone is queued up.
@sassygray5 YES! I can manage huge families like a pro, but I could never have done it without pause. Haha- SimplyJenRising SpectatorI have free will on yet I can't stop being a control freak. I am getting better about it though. o:)
- cocokaylaNew Scout@CravenLestat You say it like it's a bad thing
I have free will on but my sims get too distracted playing video games on the tv and stuff around the house for me to just let them do whatever. Plus a couple of my sims are self employed (equestrian and photography), so there's no way they would advance in those careers without my help. - I don't play at all - I'm just setting up pictures to illustrate my story! :D
- CororonRising TravelerI control one or two sims at a time, and if there are more sims in the household I let those sims do what they want. And sometimes I just start the game to pose certain sims or to take screenshots for a short story.
