- @R3B3CKVH A sim world such as Sunset Valley has 91 lots ...a sims 4 world/box/fish aquarium/dog crate has like 26 lots.In sims 3 you can ride a bike or run around the streets and drive in cars wherever you want..in sims 4 there are no cars but this cool thing called loading screens and teleporting :( In Sims 4 all that pretty background is a Hollywood movie prop illusion and you cannot go there ...in sims 3 you can put a lot on and visit anywhere on the HUGE map you see.
Plus Sims 4 only has set presets for clothes and furniture so if you want your shirt to match your pants better hope the presets match up.No create a pattern also or color wheel :( Plus in Sims 4 all sims walk like Hanna Barbera characters like Shaggy from Scooby Doo knuckle dragging. - i've been playing sims 4 since it came out but i just stopped after getting together, i got really bored, not matter how many mods i added to the game to give me new things to do it was still boring, i think sims 4 needs more detail. So i went back to playing sims 3 i even got the rest of ep and sp that i was missing and i've playing it non stopped for the past two months and yet i haven't tried out every thing in it.
- @norhane I have been playing TS3 for 6 years now and still not discovered everything either lol
Oh, and welcome to the forums  - @king_of_simcity7 hahah i know right ? and thank you
- I know i'm a little late, but whatever.
I totally understand what your saying. I have had Sims 4 for about a year and Sims 3 for a couple of months. I like Sims 3 open world better than Sims 4 new create a sim. Plus, wheres the color wheel in Sims 4! That was one of my favorite features about Sims 3. Forget toddlers, I want the color wheel back! - Seems to have been a lot of comments on this my intention wasn't to bash sims 4. Each game has its own good and bad points. I just needed to try it to see what it was like and found it wasn't for me. As a game it's still in its infancy. When we had sims 2 and not 3 we thought nothing of not having an open world. I'll play 2 and 4 ocasionally but 3 the most. Thanks for all your comments and input
- Sims 2 Open World is actually an unofficial EP for Sims 3 created by the Modding community and it's installed with the NRaas Mod collection though you have to edit the settings for story progression heavily to get that option.I got it by tuning my Mods heavily and setting things up to play Sims 3 rotationally like it's Sims 2 with the Sims 3 open world.I start a game in an empty custom world and gradually add a population as I play the town.
- I bought Sims 4 and I liked it at first especially the clothes and CC that people make but otherwise there really isn't much for the Sims to do in Sims 4. Seems like they are stuck in a rut even when they leave their houses there is nothing to do but Socialize.
- @TadOlson Thanks for the reply
Yes I never thought of there being anything like that. Some players actually liked the TS2 rotational way of doing things and at first I would admit I was a bit put off by the universal time in TS3 but once I got used to it, I was hooked! - Hello everyone! Just adding my two cents here. As soon as I heard about (and read up on) the Sims 4, I went out and bought Sims 3. ;)
