I was trying to help someone in EA answers HQ, and I can't figure it out

Are my settings wrong? They are set at default. I tried to reply (I was lurking) and I had to sign in, but couldn't figure out how to reply, it just brought up a bunch of paperclips? I ended up "messaging" that person thinking it would show up in the 64 bit metal thread. I don't see it. What did I do wrong? How to you post in a thread? I am so confused!

  • I don't have Catalina yet, still on Mojave on one Mac and (yikes) High Sierra on another, so my System Prefs aren't going to look the same. But yes, Catalina has added a lot of privacy controls that can take users by surprise -- the biggest annoyance is online meeting systems like Zoom and its competitors suddenly being blocked until the user figures out why. But I can see why Apple did this and I am sure it's fine to allow Origin and EA access. There has to be level of trust established as we work with other parties known to us, generally. :)
  • Thank you so much @igazor for your advice. I did go ahead and allow Origin and EA access. I don't know anything about Zoom or anything like that, so they can remain blocked, lol.
