In the end there is Love Part 7:
A few days later Rosie had once again "forgot" to bring Rowan anything to eat, luckily he had a sink in the bathroom for water, but food was scarce. He had finished the last very stale sandwich that morning. it was 8:00 pm and his stomach was growling, loudly.
He tried reading for awhile to take his mind off it...

It wasn't working, so he changed into his jammies and was going to try and sleep it off, but he was so hungry...

He eyeballed the jellybean plant, Rosie had told him to keep his hands off it. She only kept it up in the attic because she was hiding it from her mom, Julia had almost died from eating the jellybeans and didn't want to be anywhere near one again as she knew eating the jellybeans could be addicting, and deadly.

He was certainly distracted from his hunger by his burning mouth but was still hungry enough to risk another...

The very next one gave him the stuffed moodlet and he was able to fall asleep feeling full and semi happy.
He woke up at 4:30 the next morning, feeling eyes on him, those paintings were really creeping him out, if he took them down Rosie would scream at him so he would just have to put up with them, they were nice pictures in the daytime so he couldn't complain too much.

Julia and Jared agreed to take the kids down to the beach, he left Connor a note not thinking he would join them, Connor would rather read Jared thought to himself as he put the note on the refrigerator.
Down at the beach the kids were all playing together. Jared and Julia were chatting.

Connor had come down to the beach and was playing with the kids when he noticed Jared and Julia getting mighty cozy. He spun into his clothes and ran home, heartbroken. Neither Julia or Jared even noticed he was there, as they were otherwise occupied..

The kids were getting tired, Edward had followed Connor home. Jasper and Rosie went up on the beach and noticed Uncle Jared and Rosie's mom chatting.
