Let's talk about widescreen / ultrawide issue.
TS3 utilize vert- scaling. In Vert- games, as the aspect ratio widens, the vertical component of the field of view is reduced to compensate. This avoids distortion of objects in the game world but results in a smaller field of view on widescreen resolutions, and may become especially problematic with extremely wide resolutions, such as those common on ultrawide and multiple-display setups.
4:3 scaling get the most FOV. 16:9 is still acceptable while my 21:9 3440x1440 is terrible and 32:9 like "double Full HD" or more exotic "double Quad HD" / multi monitors is probably unplayable.

Here is an extreme example of TS3 on superultrawidescreen 32:9 3840x1080. The feet and neck are cut off entirely.
In games with Hor+ scaling, the vertical FOV is fixed, while the horizontal FOV is expandable depending on the aspect ratio of the rendering resolution; a wider aspect ratio results in a larger FOV. Since the majority of screens used for gaming nowadays are widescreen, this scaling method is usually preferred as wider aspect ratios do not suffer from reduced FOV with it. This becomes especially important in more "exotic" setups like ultra-wide monitor or triple-monitor gaming.
It is suppose to look like this on "correct" Hor+ scaling.
Sadly after nearly 2 months of research I still can't figure out how to change Sims 3 scaling from Vert- to Hor+
The first method that was suggested since 2009 is TS3FOV tool by Racer_S is horribly out of date. The tool has been stop working since patch 1.2.7 from June 2009 !! https://www.wsgf.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=64&t=17499&start=8
Racer_S himself lastest appear on Widescreen Gaming Forum was Jan 2014 and his blog http://www.tocaedit.com/ didn't received any update since July 2019. So I have no idea how to contact him.
The second method suggested by Nicnl from 2013. https://www.wsgf.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=64&t=17499&start=10
He suggest about modifying "kMainFOVDegrees". I try to follow his instructions very carefully but no luck. Nothing was change.
Try asking him on Youtube but didn't got any answer.
Vert- scaling ALWAYS happen from lazy dev and TS3 is no exception.
