Looking for a pair of lost men's boots

Not 100% sure - can't load the game up right now, but they look like one of the kinds of riding boots that came with the pets expansion.

Those boots do come from Pets. They are not available for teens.

Pets?! PETS?!?!?! NOOOOOO! That's the only EP I don't play because of all the dog digspots EVERYWHERE even if I uncheck pets!! I just activated Pets and looked in CAS, you are RIGHT! You have beautiful observational skills, thank you SO much!

Now I have to decide if those boots are worth all the headaches that come with Pets. Sheesh!

I use NRaas Register to disable wild animal populations. Then NRaas StoryProgression to set the pet populations to 0 (which won't remove existing pets but should prevent further expansion). Then Overwatch to disable the Neighborhood Pet Adoption scenario. I followed most of the tips on this page: http://nraas.wikispaces.com/Animals

Once you install that tuning mod you might need to use MasterController to delete any existing dig sites that have spawned.

@pax1sw - I see that you are in good hands here, but just wanted to point out that whenever you find the information presented on the NRaas site too overwhelming, you could always join our wiki (if not already a member) and post there. It's kind of what we are there for. :)

Ha, let's just say that if NRaas owned Wikispaces, we would have managed it a lot better and it wouldn't be getting shut down after being neglected by its various owners over the years!

Wikispaces is a site provider, in the past catering more to educational and research types of collaborative projects. They have been our landlords since 2011. We already had plans in place to move to our own site anyway and have one in place that we have been testing behind the scenes, the demise of Wikispaces just speeds up the migration schedule a bit. At our level of service we won't get shut down until Sept 30, but we do expect to have moved before then.

The new site will be announced on the current NRaas wiki when it's ready, there's really nothing for the public to see there now. We will try to arrange a browser redirect if we can when the time comes, at least for a while. We will be findable on the major search engines, by way of MTS I am sure, and I still expect to be here on this forum (see my signature line) as well as other users; we really won't be that difficult to locate. :)

I'll make a note of that, seems I'm really using NRaas a lot lately, have you all over my bookmarks bar. LOL I'm really happy you'll still be around to help us diehard TS3ers work through the almost-but-not-quite-finished brilliant programming accomplishment that is TS3.

If you're really into the minutia of TS3 and/or the older versions, TS4 comes off as a lifeless, soulless zombie version of all the previous Sims iterations. What they were thinking when they designed TS4, or even IF they were thinking is a puzzle. Pretty only goes so far, after awhile you want to actually game. Besides, I can do pretty in TS3, it just takes a bit more finesse.

@pax1sw. I'm a relative newcomer to Sims3. Only started playing Sims (any of the versions) in January of 2017...and joined the forums in March of 2017... and ended up addicted to the game.

I think it got sold and catered to the corporate investors and went with the "lowest common denominator" for lowest amount of "investment" - highest return = highest profit margins. At least that's what my cynical side of me says. I had the choice between Sims 3 and Sims 4...and was warned off by a friend of mine that Sims 3 was the way to go...so I chose 3 as my game and don't regret it in the slightest.

As I said in another post a while back, As an investor, I'm looking for the highest dividends possible from my investment, whereas as a gamer, I'd like to see some effort put into the development of the game - and well...most times those two needs don't mesh. When you're looking at things like stocks and dividends, you're wanting to see as much ROI as you can get. Unfortunately it seems that corporate solvency and profit is the main objective in any corporation. thus we see the end-result of such in games such as TS4 which is minimal investment in the development team and them being told to meet incredibly tighter and tighter development deadlines on a shoe-string budget.

Luckily we have tools like CAW and TSRW and creatives developers/gamers who use Blender and Milkshape to create fantastic creations to help flesh out our games in the way that we want to go. I think Sims 3 will have a longer life than any of the management in EA ever had in their wildest imagination and they may be regretting the decision that they meant to go the way that they did, sooner than later, especially with the major fall-out...everytime another TS4 expansion pack comes out, which I'm sorry to say is just a thinly disguised LOOT-crate disguised as a stuff-pack.
