Losing my mind with a sound

I downloaded this HUGE gorgeous house and it has more TVs and stereos than I can count. At some point, something got turned on. I've been zooming in to every room, turning anything with sound on and back off, hoping to find the culprit that is playing creepy music non-stop. Then just now, the live in butler walked by and the music got really loud. When she walked back out of the house, the sound went with her. Can a butler be corrupt and have sound like that?

ETA: It was the butler. I dismissed her followed her leaving the property and the sound went with her. I waited an hour and hired her back. No more weird sound.

That might have been the ghost hunting music. I used to hear it at random times in my sims' houses, and sometimes it would follow them when they went elsewhere. I finally realized it was the music for when the ghost hunter is working. So I started checking around the neighborhood whenever the music started, and sure enough, there was a ghost hunter working at one of the neighbors' houses every time. So I now have the ghost hunting career disable from my games with NRaas' Story Progression.

Another really annoying and difficult to get rid of sound happens if you try to do the opportunity to assist police with your psychic abilities. It is bugged and can't be completed but the music you hear when it tries to complete plays constantly until you shut the game and relaunch.
