Make-up reverts back, new changes won't stick

I been looking everywhere for an answer to how to fix this problem, it happens with any eyeshadow I pick when starting to create a sim and If I start changing the make up or even jewellery it reverts back to the original eyeshadow picked at first with a random color, Even if I take all the make up off before moving to the next outfit or want to add a hat (etc.) as soon as I start changing other things the eyeshadow returns and is frustrating having to change it so many times again and again....
I play on Ps4 so no cc or anything
I also don't have and supernatural packs
