mermaids have no tails
I have a playable mermaid and for some reason she and none of the NPC mermaids have visable tails. They move their legs as in the tail animation underwater but sim like a normal sim above the surfac...

Nope the other simmers are right the tails are vanishing after playing the game for a couple weeks - my friend put up a picture of Triton King in the mermaid grotto and he has no tail and has been like that for a bit. Apparently they swim as if they have the tails but they don't have them. So I guess it depends on how long you play underwater - as so far the few Mermaods I have seen have tails, but I have been playing a landgame and have not even gone into a single cave or anything. I did have my sims swim down to the mermaid grotto just to see if mine had tails - they did - but that is the first time I had even been down there with my sims. My friend has been spending a lot of time underwater - so I think that is why. if it is, it should be a fixable issue but the gurus are going to need to run the game a lot using the under water areas to trigger that so they can duplicate the issue and get a fix.
