- I've played in both and I'll vote for Lucky Palms. Both are two EA worlds that have a lot of character but I have to say I didn't enjoy the Savvy Sellers set from Midnight Hollow nearly as much as I thought I would and the constant darkness of the world gets old quick. Lucky Palms has fun townies, two distinct sections (a new touristy part of town and an old run down part) It's easier to upgrade in my opinion and Casinos are fun to build. Gambling is the new skill added with this town and is also a good way to make money.
- Lucky Palms, Midnight Hollow is just too dark. I have it but don't play it though I do like some of the houses from that world and will use them in other towns.
- mrcsdasilva5 years agoNew TravelerAnother vote for Lucky Palms here!
There's plenty of space for upgrades, the townies are cool and the landscape is breath-taking. - I could have skip both (I have them both but rarely play), but as far as premium content I like the Savvy Seller's Collection better than the Wishing Well.
- How realistic do you like your sims game to feel? Obviously The Sims will always be a wacky fantastical franchise but playing a realistic game in Lucky Palms is easy while Midnight Hollow is designed for fantasy. And they're both great worlds. I don't find myself using the Savvy Seller set much (or the wishing well) but the toy machine you get with the gold edition of Midnight Hollow produces some fun and even useful things (the baby mats!)
- I don't know if you've made a decision by now but while LP is my preference, I agree with what's been said here. MH is good for Fantasy and has some of the coolest houses. If you favor Supernaturals, it's a fantastic alternative to Moonlight Falls. You could also play it as an old school Victorian town or Steampunk fantasy.
- Lp for overall scenery but most of the premade houses has absurdly tall platform so it's a minus for me. On the other hand Midnight hollow for unique Sims and good houses
- Lucky Palms for sure. Midnight Hollow has some cool premades but Lucky Palms is much more playable
- I would recommend Midnight Hollow if you are going to get its Gold Edition. It has craftable toys with special animations which I really enjoy. It also has the most amount of items out of any Store world as far as I know. If you like its look, go for it.
You can check out the special toys from Sims Wiki. I just added that section to the wiki myself today: https://sims.fandom.com/wiki/Toy_Making#The_Sims_3_Store - LadyAlkali5 years agoRising VanguardIt really comes down to preference. Personally I prefer Midnight Hollow (though admittedly I haven't played in Lucky Palms yet, so I don't know how helpful my opinion is). The only issue is that it's extremely dark, and if your computer likes to go dark with the option to turn that monitor setting off greyed out (like mine >.>) it can be EXTREMELY hard to really see what's going on. Though if you're able to put up with that or find a way around it, what does it for me is its 19th century setting, fashion, shops, buildings, and the overall gothic and strange feeling to it (I like gothic and strange). Of course that's just my opinion. I absolutely adore the outfits that come with it, especially the gothic lolita dresses.
