Interesting, aren't there some functional stained glass windows in game? Off the top of my head, Edwardian has one, and the fairy set too I think.
Not saying your project doesn't look nice. I was thinking the lack of light would bother me, but I guess, if you want your faux-stain glass to have light, there are invisible wall lights in buydebug, maybe even ones specifically for daylight.
