Edit: No shift needed, sorry...
I think this feature requires Late Night. - GothicDarkling14 years agoRising HotshotI think you can also use the ' and ; keys to move object up and down the wall.
- Thanks all for you help!
I've had every Sim game and EP since the first one, and I'm fairly sure I have all the Sims 3 EP's except pets, so here goes! It's been a long time since I've had time to play!
Thanks again! - I know that you are supposed to be able to move wall objects up and down, but I can't seem to get it to work. It just starts to rotate the object. I have all the expansion and stuff packs so it should work. Help! :?:
- Let's say you just bought a painting and want to move it down. Just click on the picture while holding the LEFT button down on your mouse and you should be able to drag it upwards or downwards.
Some items won't allow you to move them, like the alarm systems or TV's that hang on a wall. FrustratedSimmer wrote:
I know this was at some point something you could do, raise or lower windows, wall lighting, paintings, etc.. I've searched the forum high and low, and I just can't find it.
Anyone know how, please?
You do not need to hold down the shift key. Just click and hold for a second or two then move the mouse up or down to where you want it then release. You can't move windows or award plaques. When an object you want to move up or down shows the arrows curving right or left, you can't move that one up or down.- And i saw somewhere you needed the LN EP but it came with a patch as well :D
I use it all the time when, for example, i want to place about 6 or 7 of the sketches sims made with the UL sketchboard above eachother. Kofe831 wrote:
im sorry to revive this thread but i cant seem to do it?
i tried shift .. and 'or ;
it used to do it to my sims, but now it doesnt...
:(
im trying to do it on street art
There's some objects you just can't shift on a wall. I believe street art is one of them.- doing the place and hold thing doesn't work i tried that already doesn't work with windows. It does for paintings but not all of them
- I will try it again and see if it will do it though just to be 100% sure
