I was sitting in my room writing in my journal; when I heard my mother calling me from the top of the stairs.
“Emma-When your finished writing; please come and find me in my room, I want to ask you a question.”
After I finished writing in my journal I went to find mother; she was busy writing away on her newest children’s book ‘King of Magic’ It was about a King who ruled all; until he found out what that all magic comes with a price.
“Yeah, mom what’s up?”
“I know you are getting all packed and ready to head off to college; I just wanted to ask if you’d be OK with a farewell party thrown in your honor?”
“So you wanted to ask or you mean to say you already called everyone and invited them over.”
“Well-...”
“I’ll take your silence as you already planned this and have invited people for tomorrow evening.”
