What happened in your sims 3 game today?

Okay, this is weird. Jumped in on my Haunted Melodies save to give everyone a band outfit to wear when preforming. And while I'm looking for the Haunted Melodies pattern @CravenLestat made me, I get messages which read "Oh no, (insert sim name) has died! The haunted melodies are no more!". One for each ghost band member. Confused, I backed out and checked. Sure enough, the rest of the band were still around. They were still ghosts. And the band got sundered by the system cause 3 members are "dead".... Uhm, they were ghosts when they formed the band.
