@SERVERFRA if you have hybrid mod and master controller (both from NRAAS) you might need NRAAS Story Progression too - but with the right combination of NRAAS mods you can add or remove occult to any sim. You can change the pregnancy options to encourage hybrid births too. For example I made the chance of a hybrid being born to 100% but you need to have parents with different occults. I add the number of occult types to a maximum of 4 when a baby is born.
I've made Sims in CAS and then changed the alien DNA % or added plant sim or other occult type to them using Master Controller.
So if you are happy to use mods you can add hybrids to your Sims 3 game. I have a few of them in some of my games.
EDIT: I even added the fairy occult to a cat once but I took it away as it seemed to be a bit glitchy and the cat had wings coming out of its side.
