- also The Homer now gives 820 points in Vanity (plus the 3% bonus)
- Homers Drink Beer at The Homer now yelds Premium Payout.
- wadebearRetired HeroBut... For how long? Will we have another update today? Will I use up another big chunk of our monthly data allotment on a useless update, only to get yet another update in a couple of hours?

Wait, wait...
Tune in next week, same Bat time, same Bat channel...
Seriously: does EA not realize that some of us have limited data allowances? Oh, wait, that's right. Like all such content providers they think EVERYBODY has unlimited high speed data. And I got it right in the middle of doing my Friend Actions this morning - as if that doesn't take long enough without having to get back into the neighborhood and scroll back to where I was.
Ok I'm done griping. For now... billdoors1533 wrote:

Me neither. I'm still debating. It would really set me back on my donut savings, for one thing. If Herb is also a limited time premium, I'll be sad. I don't exactly need a new task for Homer, and would probably never use it. I also don't really have a good place for it in my town. I could probably find one eventually, but why should I pay donuts for something I'll struggle to place?

There are plenty of places that offer free wi-fi.- bluyoshi88810Seasoned NewcomerI bought it yesterday before the fiasco began (I put it near my loft). I'm glad it plays La Cucaracha, but it would've been nice if the task associated with it were permanent. I'm looking forward to Herb, even if they make him premium.

Some clouds are less "Meh" than others. ;)- I enjoyed the episode, too, atiq. The car wasn't on screen for long, though, I'd rather have Herb.

The update was about 14 MB. I think EA realizes that some people have limited data allowances. It's not like they're pushing out 100 MB updates every week.
How much data does the game normally use if you play it for many hours a day?- wadebearRetired Hero

The in-game data usage is negligible, it's the updates that eat into our data.
We're on satellite. For about $120 a month we get 20 Gigs of data. Sounds like a lot... Until you start using it for:
Facebook. Youtube. Youtube on Facebook. 5 desktop computers, 3 laptops, 6 tablets, and various other digital equipment (DirecTV DVR, GPS, etc) to keep updated. Another TV show that wasn't recorded or got messed up by a weather outage to track down and download (via DirecTV if we're lucky)...
And to have 3 updates in 2 days just because they made a silly mistake on the date...
And that's not even mentioning the time involved. Satellite is 'high speed" only when compared to dial-up. It took about 4 minutes to download today's update.
Hmmm. Guess I wasn't through griping after all...
