Safest way to resurrect a sim with NRAAS mods?

Hello, I want to resurrect the Salas family in Midnight Hollow, and possible some other ghosts as well. Using NRAAS, which would be the safest (non game breaking) way to accomplish that? I'm thinking of using the MC command "occult > remove occult type > ghost" but wanted to check with the forums first in case you guys knew of a better way. Thanks in advance!
  • AFAIK removing occult traits through MasterController is fine. DebugEnabler also allows you to "Make Food" under sim options, including ambrosia, in case you wanted a more natural resurrection.
  • Using DE to make ambrosia should be fine, if you can get it to work. Using DE to resurrect a deceased sim directly seems to cause issues, it's like we end up with copies of the original sims and the relationships between them can become impossible to fix. That would be the kind of debugging command that it is usually better to avoid using.

This isn't really my area of expertise as I've never seriously tried to resurrect ghosts, but I bet a post on the NRaas forums might lead to some better or at least different answers as to what has worked well for other players, including possibly the MC option.
  • I would think if you remove occult-ghost you would most likely remove the sim. I would play it safe and save just before trying it so you could exit without saving if you don't like what happens.
The easiest and safest way would be to give them all a plate of Ambrosia. My sims have at least 25 in their inventory at all times.
If you don't have a sim that can make it, I have a lot on the sims 3 exchange that has treasure chests with stuff like that in them.
  • I'm not sure the removal of the Ghost occult would resurrect like you want it, but maybe @igazor or somebody else knows.
  • @InfraGreen DebugEnabler is another NRAAS mod right? I think I have it but I have only used it once to fix a town-wide aging issue I had, I think I had read we shouldn't use it extensively since it's kind of an unpredictable mod. But I'll look into the "make food" option, see if it's safe and if so, I can use it, thank you! (how to make the Salas toddler eat it though?)
  • Since the Salas family are a premade family (and probably never were dead), I don't think the MC method of removing occult should be an issue but @igazor could probably confirm this.
