@chloebroomhallxx When you start the game is Origin running? After Origin starts does the launcher start?

@chloebroomhallxx Does the game icon appear in Origin? From the picture above it looks like the game is at version 1.67.

Yes.. when I right click the game in Origin, the option to check for updates is greyed out. And on the launcher, it does not have an "updates" tab. Thus, I just assume it's up to date and that there is no need for updating because I have no option to do so. @roberta591

@chloebroomhallxx That's the right game version. In Origin right click the game icon and click repair game.

@chloebroomhallxx The updates tab in the launcher is gone because patching will be done through Origin now. These changes are not because of the game. EA has always been against changing their games once they go to market but changes to windows 10 for Windows and el capitan for mac has forced changes in the game. If the repair tab doesn't work try a reboot of your computer (completely power down, count to 10, and power back up). And if the power cycle doesn't work you can try to uninstall Origin - download Origin and install Origin. Origin is a stand alone client program and a reinstall shouldn't affect the game.
Thank you. I figured out the problem. My Origin was out of date. Once uninstalled and reinstalled, it gave me the option to update & repair my game. It's currently repairing so hopefully Riverview should download now. Thanks again. @roberta591
@chloebroomhallxx It's a little more complicated now so there are more things that can go wrong. Let us know if you still have problems.
I've tried to install Lucky Palms and Riverview, now, and I get the same message each time, that I need to update my game. I have TS3, Late Night, and High End Loft Stuff, my game is 100000% up to date, I've updated and repaired game through Origin. I don't understand why it says that the world can't be installed because my game isn't up to date, when it definitely is. I've tried everything. I've uninstalled and reinstalled Origin, uninstalled and reinstalled TS3, attempted to update and repair my game countless times but it's up to date and everything's fixed. I don't understand what the problem is. I asked this yesterday and accidentally clicked that the problem was solved, when it isn't. I bought the game through Origin with my Origin Access Membership. Please help, I'm getting a bit impatient with the game now...

@rumbutter I don't think it's anything to do with my browser.
@chloebroomhallxx Let's start this again. When you go into your purchase history and click download does the launcher open? The only other thing I can think of is something in the registry is stuck. You could try uninstall Origin - use ccleaner (there is a free version) and clean the registry - then install Origin.
@roberta591 Hey. I'm still not sure what the issue was - but since buying & downloading Seasons and Ambitions, my worlds are installing perfectly. Thanks for your help. 🙂
@chloebroomhallxx Thanks for the reply - still not sure what it was but those packs may have sorted it out (I hope). With the changes in DRM it's hard to say exactly what works and what doesn't. Take care
