I had a date go bad when I pushed it too quickly. I think The Sims remembers this, because subsequent dates have done the same, even though I have taken it slower ("have issues" has come up). I'm playing an overstuffed house and there is a lot going on so I give a bunch of instructions and go on to the next sim. When I get back to them the date has gone to pot. I'm was trying to pay closer attention to the latest attempt. Unfortunately, childcare got in the way. I have a toddler almost ready to age up (pegbox, xylophone, potty, walking, and about 80% talking) who is too exhausted to keep learning. He is sharing the crib with a brand new baby that I got a little early, so they can take turns (really only one turn, since he should finish learning to talk after waking up and then get a birthday cake). I keep telling the sim on childcare to put the baby on the floor for a bit so I can get the toddler into the lone crib. The sim keeps putting the baby back into the crib as soon as it is on the floor. I was concentrating on watching the date and making sure it was going well or finding out what was making it go wrong. I finally, gave the couple some simple instructions (chat etc.) while I concentrated on the baby. I got the toddler in the crib, but the date left somewhere along the way.
