Sims 3 Logic - (Amusing Anecdotes)

My teen sim was assigned to interview a French local for the school newspaper. I loaded him up with travel supplies (tent, munchies, camera, collection helper, etc.) and shipped him off. Twenty minutes later, I was still waiting for France to load. I know it can take a few minutes, but not that long. I forced the game to quit and even rebooted the computer. It wasn't a big loss since I had saved not long before. I sent him travelling again. Ooops, I didn't select the destination this time and he ended up in Egypt. It's difficult to interview a French local from Egypt. Also, apparently I saved just before stocking him for the trip and he arrived with next to nothing. I figured, I'd send him straight home and try again. Just as he was about to call, I thought, while he is here, check out the relics merchant, maybe he has something interesting. Nope, the call was initiated and he returned home. Did you know you can't travel again for two days? I didn't. I tried initiating the trip with another sim, but he couldn't go along, so I cancelled that one. I wanted to get the trip in before he ages up on Monday (original departure Saturday).
