Because of the reaction my Mom and I would have every time our Nintendo game would come unplugged. ( we would be playing quest games the kind that take months to complete and half the time if they got unplugged it would erase the game!) Our poor dog (leftovers) was afraid to step over or under any wires! We could cage him in by putting wires on all sides of him if we wanted him to go over a wire we had to put a rug or towel over it! That was before wireless controllers.
