Solar Panels, Windmill, and the Renault Twizy

That's just a technical glitch on any item page that keeps happening to me and it seems to depend on how I click through to the item.

I usually try different things and it works in some minutes. Logging out/in, going to the Sims3 homepage first, closing browser, rebooting, opening the launcher first, etc.

It might actually have most to do with how one clicks through to the item though, which is really annoying.

@Sonshine77 - Have you cleaned the internet history in Internet Explorer? Even if you are using other browsers, sometimes cleaning Internet Explorer's internet history fixes errors with the site.

If clearing the cache doesn't work, you may want to try to follow Valgon57's method he explains in his thread Store Mega List for Extra Quick Redownloading. This method allows users to avoid redownloading through purchase history. I am not sure if it will work if you have never downloaded an item before, but maybe it will work for you.

Step 1: Open the Launcher
Step 2: Open a web browser and copy the following URL sims3://download/?ofbId=OFB-SIM3:21371 into the address box. Hit Enter.
Step 3: You may a confirmation box open asking you to allow the launcher to run.
Step 4: Switch to the Launcher. The solar panels should appear in the download tab.

I just tried the above steps and the solar panels appeared in my launcher. However, I already own the item.

For the Twizy, follow the above steps but enter sims3://download/?ofbId=OFB-SIM3:21359

Thanks for the reply. I just tried again, but got the same result. I'm not sure I follow you on "one clicks through to the item though." I went to the link, clicked on the d/l button and then had to click it again to get the "are you sure...." and clicked Yes, but it never finishes. It just hangs w/o completing.
