Tell me why "you" think it's so hard to install mods/cc?

Seriously, this is bugging me more and more lately. No matter what instructions are followed (and most are pretty much the same), people seem to have issues. And before you respond, let me tell you what I'm seeing in these threads and post.

Issue 1. People simply do not read!

Why is that? Why do people not read all the information about the mod before they try to install it? Most times the answer is right in front of their face and they don't see it. Do you simply skip down the "the mod" and download without reading anything about it? The documentation on both NRaas Industries and MTS is readily available.

Issue 2. People do not know how "their" computers work?

You spent all that money on it, then why haven't you read the manual? On newer purchase they straight up give you a basics tutorial. And all of them come with a help feature. DEP, how to update your graphics drivers, the applications installed and how they work, etc... it's all in there. Why don't people take the time to learn about something they've spend their hard earned money on? And please don't give me that "I'm not tech savvy line" it's old.

Issue 3. Pure laziness. Not just for this but in general. (Absolute pet peeve of mine)

There are certain simmers who fall under this category and I will not contribute to their laziness by helping them. I just absolutely refuse to help someone that will not help themselves. In fact, there is one simmer (not naming) who has nearly 1400 topics and 95% of them are questions. I've been here since May 2009 and have less than 100 topics.

Now I don't mind helping people in fact I rather enjoy it. But it's hard to help someone if they haven't done what is listed in issues 1 & 2. And as of late, all that's being said is that it's hard or I don't understand without saying really what it is they don't understand.

In my guides, I try to provide the information you need not only to install but additional info so you don't hose up your games. As well as a checklist of what you need to do to unmodify your games whenever there is a patch/update. After all this time and this far into the sims 3 series, I still can't believe that simmers still forget to remove their mods and patch/update anyway.

However, I will not dumb it down (for lack of a better term) to the point where things are missed or the interpretation of what's being presented is changed.

So what's the deal? I'd really like to have some feedback.
