aslo, question... when you edit a town to put a building or park in the 'family's name', it doesn't come out of the family funds, so the $500k is A LOT, and really doesn't deplete because as you build the town.


Edit: Okay, bulldozed the town.. again. This time left the lot markers in place. AND I copied the town so just incase something is not quite right, I don't have to start all over again with the bulldozing! :lol: :lol:

As your bulldozing please put the community lots in the Library before deleting them. the point of clearing it out is for the sake of game play. Remember there are careers that help you mode the town you live in. Architect and Stylist. The balance of leaving something for the next gen and spending is the main issue. you dont have to own every house you just have to buy the Comm lots and build those.

So far i have spent like crazy in the first gen. As it is the house that is pasted down. Then on top of that i built underground instead of up as i need the space to start a garden and a ranch.

I bought out the supermarket fired the person that was there and hired another person. Further bringing sims into the game. Adopted 2 horses. And took a liking to fishing as it was another money maker. This was before i decided to have 4 kids. So as my sims are falling into Adult hood to Elder the kids can take over.

Gen 1 Left behind the house and Gen store.


Its all in finding the strategy of making the money you spend work for you. By the time my first gen dies they will have perfect garden that they can leave to feed the family and sell at a high price.
