Hi guys! Glad to "see" you all. Was beginning to think you'd left :'(
Guess you were all just busy. Unlike me who hasn't got a lot to do. :D I've been low on Inet access so had to limit my time. When I popped in No-one was about so I got discouraged.
@JMJ: Don't worry, take care of yourself and your family first. We understand. You've not failed us or let us down. I had no Idea you'd been financing the site yourself. If you can't afford to keep going with it we will all understand. The site was wonderful but there are other places for us to go.
Speaking of other places, can someone please recommend some user friendly sites for me to try. I need somewhere to set up my storyline and share my progress. I'm a bit of a internet community dunce and need all the help I can get.
@Maj: I need some help with this site. I'd barely learned the ins and outs of the old set up. Could you message me with the basic steps and info I need or the places I can look myself. This new points system has got me completely baffled. Thanks in advance.

Now for my gaming update:
I've started my A&E challenge over again (for the umpteenth time), sticking strictly to the start-up rules this time. I get bored easily and frustrated with the time it takes for the generations to tick over. So to make it more challenging I've set the lifespan to short. So now I really have to focus on the skills needed to unlock each building. I've used every skill building Item I have to the max and have put my theory of an education plan for each child into place building skills from an early age.
I put my beloved fishing spot in the graveyard (which is worked into my back-story) It was the first lot my couple bought. I made my own. Its much cheaper than the pre-made ones. NB; If you do make your own, once you've bought it check for the star value. It needs to be a worth a certain amount of money (I don't remember how much) before it reaches 1 star and the Mausalium(sp?) is open for business.
I'm working on (or may have got) the diner next. They have one child, a son, which I'm going to train in gardening to get the Grocery store. I'm thinking one child per generation and having them and their spouse earn a building each.
I haven't played the challenge recently because I'm hook on Sims 4. I absolutely love the game. Its a totally different set-up from Sims 3 which I like, as it makes it feel like I'm playing a different but similar game. And my control freak itch is satisfied completely. As well as wishes that need fulfilling there's daily goals to complete to increase their performance level, plus the goals that need to be reached to earn the next promotion. Added to that you have goals you need to meet to complete their aspirations. And you still need to keep meeting all of their needs and keep their home in reasonable shape (my plumbing and electrical items keep breaking and there is no repairman) . I'm never bored.
After a few false starts I've settled on a family and am slowly working on the ins and outs of how the game works. My favourite item so far is the plumb lamps you get as a reward for each expansion pack you have in Sims 3. Each one has a related aura which encourages certain moods that enhance skill building. I've scattered a few around my house, switching them on and off as the need arises.
I'm heading off to play some more Sims 4 now.
Happy Simming
