I broke down and got Sims 4 on Friday...finally had a chance to play it this AM...I think I like it but I am reserving judgment :) It does take some getting used to, especially if you haven't watched a few tutorials on how things operate. Took me forever to figure out how to leave my lot LOL.
I do agree with some of the complaints as I seem to be spending a lot of time getting my needs up, repairing things around the house. But I jumped right in with a legacy challenge and I think if I had a fully functioning house to begin with it would not have been so difficult. I do like how there are always people around to meet/chat etc. And it seems like my "friends" visit a lot when in Sims 3 they did not.
Of course it is missing a lot of things, but I had every expansion pack in Sims 3 so had too much "stuff" available most of the time, so I imagine with expansions this will go away.
I do like the more realistic look of the game and definitely like the build/store all in game better. The premade rooms seem to be less expensive than in Sims 3 too and the pull/pus/ move an entire room are awesome.
@kangaroobabe - I did not know about the 5 outfits and the Sim cycling thru them....:)

Oh, and I forgot...if you go to the exchange, there are Sims worlds that are empty. And by that I meant is you type in Moonlight Falls Empty, you will find an empty version of moonlight falls with lots already in place. There are also the same for the other worlds. I can't remember who made them but they are awesome.
