Ugh.. gonna repost this question since things get buried so easily in this really awesome thread! :D
Okay, so I'm a terrible terrible TERRIBLE builder. As such, I have a question.
Am I allowed to temporarily move my sims into the character bin long enough to place a house onto the lot? Then I'll move them back onto their lot (paying for the newly built house there with their own money of course).
No time will have passed in game, they will still be living on the same lot as before, the only difference is that the house on the lot was not built by me.
Please oh please say this is allowed, I build terribly and my house is gonna be so so so terrible if I have to build it
Building your own house was a core part of The Sims2 legacy. I think it still is. Many people, myself included, dread the building aspect of the legacy challenge but that's also part of the fun. As a terrible architect, I find plans for real houses online. I use www.eplans.com My legacy family lives with furniture on the lawn till I can get enough cash to put up the wall according to the plans. I start with a little two bedroom in the corner of the lot and then start working on a mansion after. Once the big house is built, I have my spare live in the two bedroom. Hope this helps.
