So, one of my Sims (a spare) was a day or two from become an elder when he got abducted by aliens, and came back pregnant! I figured he would age up into elder a day or two after the baby was born, but when I looked, he had gone back to being only about halfway through the adult life stage. It must have been a glitch, because there is nothing on the lot that can reduce ages, and I didn't use any cheats or potions or food to make him younger. Now I'm not sure what to do, should I just accept that he got a lucky glitch to live a little longer, or should I be more strict and age him up with a cake since he should have become an elder already? I'm not playing 100% strict with the rules, but I am trying to stick with them as much as possible. Any advice would be appreciated! :)

I had something similar happen in my Legacy Challenge game. One of my heirs, can't quite recall which generation it was, now, had gotten married and his wife was preggars. For some reason I took a look at her age. She was an Elder, while pregnant. I'm thinking, wait a minute, there's no way. But, since I'd had a very interesting problem in my first attempt at this legacy, and this was shades of that, I thought I'll just roll with it. Once the baby was born, the wife went back to her original age. Whatever this glitch is, it was temporary at least in my game.

Just roll with it. It's not like you did something on purpose to extend his life. Could be the aliens wanted to assure the child would be cared for, and they extended his life. At any rate, you didn't cause this, so just keep going forward with your Legacy Challenge. I hope you're blogging about it, this scenario has me intrigued!
