  • Alright, My game works until I select the house I want and everything and I'm back in the main menu and I click accept, then it asks me if this is my household, and I click yes, because it is, then it loads, loads, loads, and loads... But it never stops loading. Its been about 4 hours now.. I tried cleaning out my computer and restarting my game and computer, it still don't work. PLEASE HELP!

Do the sims have enough money for that house? If not they can't move there.
  • Lack of funds should cause the house selection to be blocked entirely (if things were working correctly), not make it load for hours going nowhere.

@TheSpiritTheWolf - This is an EA world that has you stuck in the beginning like that? Try pulling your entire TS3 user game folder out of Documents to your Desktop. A new one will spawn on the next loadup with no content added or saves but if you had any, they will still be safe in the pulled out folder. Do things work any better on the new, clean game folder?
  • @igazor doesn't the game give you warning if you don't have enough funds to buy the house?

Yes, but it should also just not be selectable rather than causing the game to freeze up if you try to select it anyway.

I would think the game giving you warning you don't have enough funds should not be ignored. I never attempted to ignore the waring and pressed on trying to buy the house anyway without enough funds. I did not know you could do that and get passed the funds warning. I would have thought their game had a corrupt save . Will ignoring the funds warning give someone a corrupt save?

I have no clue - if I got a warning I never tried it anyway. I cancelled and tried another. I tend to pay attention to warnings and abide by them.

I know Sims 4 stops you period - but seems I recall Sims 3 - offered you furnished or unfurnished - and if furnished could not be bought it'd be in red I believe but many times unfurnished would allow the buying of the house - it'd just be empty.

But honestly I have not bought a house in Sims 3 for about 5 years as I play the established saves I had from before Sims 4. It is quite possible some of the few updates Sims 3 has gotten might have changed things as well. Generally when they get an update - I update and make sure my saves are all still working. (I don't use mods or CC in Sims 3) It also might have to do with if this simmer has all Sims 3 updates or not and if they have mods or CC that match the updates too. Sims 3 is a stickler about mod levels matching the updates in the game.

I think we need more info from the Simmer.

It's been a long time for me. I have several generations, have so much sim money, I don't run into this issue. I build my own houses and will move those children into their own houses with the main house funds.

I had no idea it was possible you could get past the warning
