A bit later, Alice had noticed Branch bathing, and wondered if a person can drown in the bathtub.
She's a CaveGirl and has seen her people drown in a lake, and in an ocean before. She doesn't know how or why this happens, maybe they got too sleepy, or got tired treading water?
Alice knows where she comes from, when people die they get a ghost form of themselves...
"Branch, you looked kind of tired, bathing, were you?" she asks.
"No, I don't feel I was tired." he says.
"Oh, I see. Well I was wondering, if you were to become tired and drown...." says Alice.

"Well it says I need to see your ghost. Isn't that strange and funny?!" says Alice.
"Strange yes, funny No!" says Branch.
He really doesn't relish the idea of dying. No one has ever died in this town before so he does not know what this 'dying' entails, but he is pretty sure he would rather Not do it.
"Alice, it must mean seeing me be 'in ghost form', not for me to actually Die! That just sounds too unpleasant!
Maybe I could take some sort of witches spell, or drink a ghost potion or partake in something that some of us here in town have already done, at one time or another!" reasons Branch.
"Oh Branchie, you're so smart with your Loopholes! Thank you for promising to help me!" and she smooches him all to pieces, which leads to other things.

Now very happy, Branch makes a purchase.
"I'll just purchase this cute chemistry table to make potions, it seems very fun to do, I always see the kids playing with it!"
Dayvid comes stomping up the stairs, having just arrived home from his pre-game, 10 minutes ago.
"Branch! You could at least have the decency to do that with ThatGirl when I'm Not home! I was at the pre-game for 3 whole hours, for Pete's sake!" yells Dayvid.
"But HoneyBunnie, I'm married now, it's like a rule or something, I have to." says Branch, trying to explain/lie/worm his way out of being in trouble.

Dayvid speaks slowly through clenched teeth in a cold and deadly tone "I already told you Branch, it's very dangerous what you are doing, and to be Very Careful, because I Mind, and I Don't Like It!" he is repeating, accentuating what he had told Branch on his wedding night.
Although Branch usually dislikes disagreeable confrontations, this seems different, more like what he experienced, when Dayvid first spoke these words.
"Oooo Kind of thrilling! Kind of treacherous and Wild!" he thinks, chills running up and down his spine.
''Ohh Dayvid is being scary and masterful in a new way!'' And Branch loves it! He tries to smooch him!

Only then does he allow Branch's tentative kiss.

Dayvid's heart softens, looking at his lover. He is moved, and finds Branch most alluring, and is ready for makeup-woo. But not in this room!
This bed is defiled! He thinks he might burn CaveGirl's bed later on, to make a statement.
He very happily claps to be in their room, their bed. Branch looks pretty happy too!

Downstairs in the shed, Alice finds the chemistry table! "Oh what's this?!" she thinks "This must be what Branch was talking about!
I wonder if I mix these solutions together, I could make a potion that can turn Branch into a ghost!" she smiles "La la laaa."
