Branch tells Dayvid that he is getting worried, having run out of loopholes to try to save him from death. But that is the only way for him fulfill his promise to CaveGirl, to help her fulfill her LTW of heartbreaker.
"I would be scared too, I don't want you to die! No one has ever died in this town, Branch, I think it's against the law."says Dayvid "I think you should break your promise to her."

"I've never broken a promise before, in fact I've never even Made a promise before I met CaveGirl. I wish I never went to travel in that time machine, that was probably a mistake." admits Branch.

"Why don't you offer her a replacement? I really hate that mean Robot you created..." suggests Dayvid. "It has infected us all like a disease, and you can't even control it."

Branch agrees and heads to speak with his wife. CaveGirl welcomes him with a huge burp.

"Alice, I'm sorry but I have to break my promise to you, I don't want to die for your cause, it's just too scary, the unknown! I can offer you my Robot in my place."
Alice considers, and says "It shouldn't be so scary, Branchie, Freda and Violet were ghosts, and they seem perfectly Fine!"

"Well if it was so 'Fine' being dead ghosts, then why are they Alive now? Besides there aren't even any dead in the graveyard, or haven't you noticed? I don't think being dead is 'Fine' at all!" says Branch.
"Hm. OK, point taken Branchie. All I care about is my LTW getting fulfilled." says Alice. "Gee, Your town, this 'time' period, is certainly most peculiar! But I do accept your plan!" and she destroys their marriage contract.
Branch is relieved, not heart broken.

Dayvid tells Laz "The Robot will be leaving soon, thanks to Alice, so there is no need to move away with Ethereal. Branch and I have always liked you both, sharing our home. Please stay."
"Oh Excellent news! I don't trust that rotten machine, but I knew it would be hard to convince Ethereal away from the garden here. Thank you wanting us here, and having a plan to get rid of that thing. This is just Great!" and they high five each other in happiness.

Meanwhile, BadRobot has been tinkering furiously, hour after hour, mentored by the Gnome!
"Yes, my Treasurerrr! "Klaatu Barada Nikto*" the hideous gnome murmurs.
"N0! Nam3. T0B0R" says Robot.
"Hmm. T0B0R dull nameses." thinks the gnome. "Woods in Robotses also dull." he notes. "Stupid Robotses."

Finally BadRobot completes it's invention! It took about 24hrs of steady work.

"NOooo!" says the hideous gnome. All their mean plans to wreak havoc on the town have been thwarted by accidently inventing a nice, positive robot!

Klaatu scans her maker, she also notes who was his maker. She adroitly states, "U. R. 3RR0R."
And clangs over to make friends with the rest of the household, being attracted to the positive friendliness of the group.

Alice is aware that her 'replacement husband' is now not so busy, and heads in to the shed to make her deal.

"M3. N33d3d?" asks BadRobot. This seems like a good idea to have a human on his side, to lure others in, for his dastardly deeds!
"Yes. Will you do me the favor?" asks Alice.
