323 The Watcher Watches: Laz's House ~~ Klaatu ~~


Poor Klaatu! Having experienced the death of her maker, I think she now fears death. She sees the broken TV and weeps, thinking it has died! Watcher has her repair it, so she can experience relief.

Klaatu then cleans the whole house, she likes being neat.

But she is also a genius, and wants to learn! She asks Ethereal.
"Where. Find. Int3llectual. Stimulation?"
"Ah, Klaatu, I think you will find the things you are looking for at the consignment shop!" says Ethereal, smiling at her.

Klaatu arrives at the consignment shop and sees Vance. Vance looks like he could use some kind of distraction from boredom! She approaches him to ask about what he would recommend she purchase.
But Vance gets the initial reaction to simbot's that every one gets! 'Ack! Simbot!'

Try again Alice, Vance is really nice, and you need friends!
"Acknowledged. Watch3r."
Once over his initial 'ack Simbot!' reaction to her, Vance finds that Klaatu is easy to talk to! He notices some slight improvement in her speech as they chat!

"Klaatu, I've never met a simbot before, show me what you can do." says Vance
"Acknowledged. I. can. do. this. and. this." says Klaatu rotating her body parts 360. haha well at least she didn't show him how she can smash some furniture in here like she did the backyard table!
"That is highly disturbing!" says Vance, impressed, but a bit freaked out. lol

Vance is intrigued with this robot, he starts asking her questions and they find they share some similar traits like neatness, and friendliness.

Vance must like to talk because soon he starts telling Klaatu his whole life story. How he started out as a maid, his marriage to Beatrice, then his quickie divorce, and now her disappearance into another time!
Klaatu finds it all fascinating.
She tells Vance "This. is. my. first. day. Aliv3!'' Then she adds ''I. like. 2. B. Fri3nd. Vanc3."

It's now closing time, and Vance is off work. Klaatu is moved by the music and asks him "Would. U. Lik3. 2. Danc3?"
Vance being a party animal, doesn't say no, even to a robot! hahaha
While they dance, Watcher buys things the family has wished for, including Klaatu's wishes for a chess table.

They both enjoyed the dance, and Vance has to go home. Klaatu heads home as well, to see the new stuff!
Klaatu is super happy about the chess table and makes a bee line to it!
Everyone has fun until it's time to sleep.

"Oh, Klaatu, it is one of the new items we wished for! It's really fun! Want to try it?" says Branch.

Branch notices Klaatu slumped over and smoking! "Oh dear, that doesn't look right!" he says.
He gets out his trusty screwdriver and makes repairs!
He is very proud of his skillz!

Klaatu rights herself, and looks over to Watcher, feeling a bit sheepish that she didn't know this would happen! She is hydrophobic, after all!
She checks to make sure all her parts are in working order.

"Thank. you. Branch! I. appreciate. your. skills!" says Klaatu. And Branch notices the improvement in her speech! 'Did I have something to do with that?" he wonders.
"I am apparently very skilled! I don't mind repairing you whenever needed." he says
Klaatu gives him a hug, moved by his generosity.

Branch returns to his gardening.
"Branch. is. a. Good. Human.'' Well I wouldn't go so far as to say that, Klaatu. besides, he is a mischievous fairy.
"Branch. is. my. clever. fairy. Friend." Yes, indeed.

Klaatu cleans the dirty dish that Branch left out. Dayvid is very impressed and happy about this!
He has always had trouble with Branch's slobbiness.
For some reason submerging her hands in soapy water doesn't short her out.

At bedtime, Klaatu makes herself home in Alice's old bed.
I guess she doesn't like fireplaces, she put out the fire.
She sleeps dreaming of 1's and 0's like a good robot should! ?

I put the fireplace in Ethereal & Laz's room, they immediately feel cozy. :)
