Turmeric, that's a new word. But aha, in Norwegian we call that Gurkemeie. ;) Hmm, and it is related to the ginger root, which I often use if I get a cold, so it makes sense. I mix it with honey and warm water. It has a special taste, but it makes me feel warm and good inside. :P
Oh, seeing what destruction a tornado can cause.. and with the short warning times for them, I wouldn't want to live in a tornado prone area without having a solid bunker directly under my house... in the basement... thick thick concrete and heavy metal doors! Made to survive war, because it does look like a war zone after one has passed...

Oh, everyone welcomes the baby very nicely. Your writing is so cute and makes everyone look so loveable. I like the snuggling with Tana and h ow the baby coos at her.
