It seems to be broken for me. I tried to get it a couple of times but it never worked for some reason. So I hope you have better luck with it.
Thank you. I read up on it before starting this series and I'm going to try to do what others say will make it happen. It seems you have to make sure you are logged in while playing and once the 30 grandchildren have all been born the grandparent has to have another baby. There are still no guarantees though.
There are a few badges where I did all the requirements a few times before finally getting the badge. Some broke after certain patches and when I got a new computer I patched up to 1.55 and was able to get some of the broken badges that way. But this isn't one of those that broke after a patch. I think this one is just broken. But it does seem to be achieved by lots of people.
With my Isla Paradiso Bunch series, Playlist 1, I attempted to complete the badges for Island Paradise. I had a large household. I did all that was necessary and the badges didn't get awarded. I read up on it and discovered most of them can only be achieved by a single sim household. So I started my Caroline and Friends save and had Caroline as a single sim household until all of the missing Island Paradise badges had been achieved. Then I started adding her friends. They are now working through the 40 or so University Life badges I haven't achieved so far. Some of those badges are similarly difficult to get. But I've discovered some of the badges can be achieved by room mates that are not controlled by me and the badges just get awarded unexpectedly when none of the sims I control have done anything to achieve them.
I will persevere with this attempt until I have done all of the requirements I know of and perhaps do it all again with one of the current batch of 'children' becoming a grandparent of 30.
