Also i would completely wipe the pc of nvidia.. since you have ATI there is no need to keep anything nvidia.
I installed the Revo unistaller & got rid of nvidia.
I didn't mess with the SGR files - was a bit too fiddly for me.
And I checked all my drivers, they're all up to date unless I missed one?

Also, will try the reset option when I get back from work today.
