WCIF Simsville

Hello!
I recently downloaded a world based on Sims 1 and while I love the look of it, there is a lot of unroutable terrain and I wish there was more space to add TS3 EP features. I know I could probably change all that in CAW, though through my googling on how to even do that I discovered a video by a popular Sims YouTuber celebrating the Sims 14th anniversary (so it's an old vid!) about a Sims 1 world made by ctnutmegger. It looks SO good and I want to play in it. But her website appears offline and I'm not having luck finding it anywhere else. I think I found CT's Twitter, but I thought I would ask here before bothering her about it.
Thanks!

Managed to download the thing. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and you'll see the download button. Should work.
  • I was sorting through cc on my pc and I stumbled across Simsville IP. I had extracted the world into .world file form as I was having endless stability issues with the launcher & I try to avoid using it as much as possible.

You'll have to put this into your Programs-Electronics Art-The Sims 3-GameData-Shared-NonPackaged-worlds folder.
It may or may not break any saves that you might have set up, sorry about that.
Just delete the file to remove from game.

I am not keeping Simsville IP on my pc. So if the above links goes dead, I won't be able to reupload it.

I personally prefer grandelama versions of Simsville. It does have cc but it is populated and the town itself is faithfully reproduced.

  • I have a download of a world called Maxis Island that is all of Sims 1, with a lot of extras, but its not 100% faithful and comes unpopulated. The terrain is all there though; it has ALL of Sims 1's expansion pack areas in one world, and several new regions that can be worked on. It supports every expansion pack from Sims 3 out of the box, and the only career thats unaccounted for are the Music career in a rather odd 'oops', and the ITF careers.

I'd recommend this world for builders, as the world template is so good; it just needs more accurate lots built and the various Sims 1 sims made to populate it.

I have that as one of my longterm goals (ive already made the Goth and Bachelor family, all the ghosts in the Goth graveyard, and ive even made the Pizza delivery guy) but its on the backburner while I slowly remake Sims 2 content. I plan to remake the always-forgotten DLC families for Sims 1 too, like the Maximus family with the ridiculous house.

I found Maxis Island here on the forums.

This is a very late reply, but I wanted to thank you for this!

I kind of found grandlama's world too small and too much unroutable terrain for my preferred gameplay, but I agree, it's a great and more accurate version of TS1. I'd love a mixed version of the two, but CT's still works. Thanks again!
