- "We recommend ignoring that recommendation, checking the box that says '
Shaddup alreadyKindly stop showing me this message,' and making a not very nice gesture at the screen while doing so." >:) - LaBlue0314Rising ScoutI don't care for that either, if I paid for it, I will use it, otherwise I'm throwing away money.
- GoodywoodNew TravelerYes this makes no sense to me. I want all my content in game.
- When that first popped up there for me I was like "Are you kidding me? You nickel and dime us to death with expansion packs and stuff packs and then recommend that we don't use them all? Seriously?" It must be a hoot in their world...
- Where do they say that by the way? Is it connected to the new patch (which I didn't download)? They always have solutions like that. No aging in your town? Well, get rid of that family you've had for generations and start a brand new one. In that case there appeared to be a much more desirable fix as well.
- LaBlue0314Rising ScoutYes it is connected with the latest patch.
- I really wonder if they realize how interwoven those EP's are in the worlds we're playing. Disabling one EP will have a big impact on more than you realized before you do it. And apart from that, it clearly depends on your equipment, because I'm fine with everything installed. They could at least add that nuance.
- LaBlue0314Rising ScoutThat is why I always keep all my EPs and SPs checked, because sometimes you can't even play a certain game save if you don't. The only time I will go in without anything unchecked is when I first start up a world. This way all those lots that came out in later EPs won't be there, and I don't have to deal with going in and removing them, just to place then where and how I want. This is specially nice with the junk yards, those things are always causing thing to spawn on the old lots (can't even find them using the debug cheat).
- HythiescrapdashSeasoned NoviceCrazy stuff, sometimes I wonder if it's something in the water at EA.
They actually recommend we don't use their products?!
How does that even work? My towns would crumble, houses disappear, families wiped out, community lots vaporised overnight. I run everything including 11 eps, stuff packs, store content and CC, game hasn't exploded on me yet. - IreneSwiftSeasoned Newcomer

You don't really need to be able to see the junkyard spawners to get rid of them. In edit town, choose the lot to edit. Then select the hammer tool. Click on one corner of the lot and drag all the way to the opposite corner. That will clear the lot of spawners and other invisible things. You'll see the flash of light that happens when you delete things that way. I also use this method for clearing empty lots that have an icon indicating there's a house on them.
